Galatians 6: 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Don’t throw in the towel! Don’t give up. You’ll surely reap your harvest. The universal law of harvest is still potent – whatever you sow, that is what you’ll reap. Whenever a farmer sows the seed of corn, he knows that that seed will grow and will eventually yield a harvest. It’s a matter of time!

If this is you, you are in good company!  Apostle Paul went through the same thing!  He was very obedient to the call of God on His life and hearkened diligently to His voice.  Yet, time and time again he faced persecutions and trials and troubles so much so that he finally cried out to God and asked him three times to take the thorn in the flesh away from him.   God answered in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My Grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

In fact, almost all of the persecution and trials Paul went through were a result of his doing the right thing.  They came because he did good.  At times believers think that persecutions and trials only come because of disobedience to God and that if you do what’s right you won’t ever have to go through trials.  Yet this is not the case.  Jesus says in John 16:33:“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.  In the world ye shall have tribulation: But be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.”

Let’s look at it from another angle. Every seed has a gestation period – from the time we sow the seed to when the harvest would be ready. Farming is not as easy task as you may think. I grew up in the village and I can tell you for sure that a lot of farmers cry of hunger while waiting for the maturation of their harvest. The African sweet corn matures in 84 days. The Sahel tomato matures in 90 days; while the common Brazilian mixed-breed cassava matures in 360 days. Any farmer that must be happy must learn to have a reserve so that during the period of gestation and growth transiting from planting to reaping season he is not be hungry. You will not ‘faint’ while waiting for your harvest in Jesus name.

During this period of gestation, there is still work to be done. The sown seed requires watering, weeding, application of fertilizer to enhance the growth. The sower must learn to add patience to his faith. This is the message God is teaching us. The sown seed would yield a harvest, but you must wait for it.

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:12

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. Isaiah 64:4

If you want to continually reap your harvest without any break, then you must continue to sow untiringly without any break. Learn to sow seed every day, you’ll start reaping every day also. Within a short time, you’ll qualify to be having harvests every day.  Don’t withhold your seed. WITHHOLDING leads to POVERTY (Proverbs 11:24-25). Sow your seed! SOW your SEED ALWAYS (Ecclesiastes 11:1-4). RELEASE brings PEOSPERITY (2 Corinthians 9:10). Don’t faint, don’t give up! Abundance awaits you! God’s knows you. He has made arrangement for your future! Hallelujah!!

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me not to faint during adversity. Give me the grace to continually sow my seed as I’m expecting abundance and continuous harvest. This I pray in Jesus name.
